Although I am comfortable solving problems alone, I really believe in selectively bringing other subject matter experts together in order to solve really tough technical problems or to design innovative new products.
So, although I am the sole full time employee of binaryFrenzy, I have access to an incredibly large base of resources. My access to experts includes everything from inventors, neuroscientists, to other electrical engineers and computer scientists.
In short, if I need help, I have easy access to it. And in many cases I collaborate simply because the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. An added benefit is that on the occasions that I do charge for my services, the end result is far more cost effective for my clients since I do not have to maintain a full time staff.
Who needs a binaryFrenzy? I do. You may. For that matter what is a binaryFrenzy? Well, in this case, binaryFrenzy is my company. It is so named to link my deep ties to the digital world as related to analog reality, all, of course, constantly changing.
I formed binaryFrenzy after retiring from many years of government service, most recently as director of research and technology. Now that I am loose on my own, I have the luxury of doing all of the things that I have always wanted to do. My mix of interests may seem eclectic, but they really do go together well. And the really fun part is I can pick and choose without regard to having to justify my own existence!
As the chief cook and bottle washer for binaryFrenzy, I split my time in several ways. Some projects I do or interests I pursue are purely for self-satisfaction. Others I do in the interest of public service or helping someone with a music project or technology problem. And occasionally I take on a project that actually pays!
